The Labs - Design & Functionality For The Net
PerlTK Script implementing a Diary
Idea: Application to keep track of diary, textual, drawing, audio and
video input (if you have the according devices).
- Monthly Overview (like cal).
- Sorting by date (default), by type (text, graphic, audio, video),
by content.
- text (derived from content)
- graphic (brief desc entered)
- audio (brief desc entered)
- video (brief desc entered)
Work in progress. Visit the site in 1-2 months again.
In the moment Linux lacks of multimedia-support:
- Text: ASCII supported, RTF incomplete, HTML probably supported
- Graphic: GIF & JPEG well supported
- Sound: RAW supported, MP3 probably supported, RealAudio supported
- Video: no support, MPEG is insufficient due immense overhead,
AVI would be prefered but bad documentation available (see also Video Lab)
